The Clwydian Range Tourism Group; a collection of small tourism businesses in NE Wales in and around our stunning Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty commissioned the development of Myth Fest Wales in 2018 with funding from Visit Wales Tourism Product Innovation Fund. The Clwydian Range Tourism Group; networks, supports, lobbies and works to improve the visitor experience to NE Wales, make more money for local businesses and protect our wonderful landscape.
In 2016 we had an off-the-wall idea to create an event to celebrate what is wonderful about NE Wales. "We are particularly set up to provide exciting learning experiences for families in NE Wales. We have some fabulous attractions and activity providers that really cater to the family market, provide unique and enriching experiences all leading to a memorable holiday that is good for the soul.
We decided to have a go at getting funding from VisitWales and after lots of liaising with the small business members and the tourism partners, we put an application together and brilliantly were granted the funding.
So a massive thank you to VisitWales for this amazing opportunity.
Also huge thanks to the supporters and believers; Clwydian Range & Dee Valley AONB, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham County Council Tourism & Countryside Depts, the three Destination Partnership Groups, the Local Action Groups the Flintshire Tourism Association, NE Wales Tourism Ambassadors, North Wales Heritage Forum, Outdoor Learning Wales, Friends of the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley and the Clwydian Range Food Trail.
And thank you for making it come to life...
